Is this post on Polymarket? Because I’d bet pretty hard against this. 12 months? Come on. The safety question has been the same question we’ve been wrestling with from the dawn of computing, and especially the cypherpunk movement.

Do some more research bruh.

The 12-month window framing is sharp, but it assumes safety is the lever. What if it's a load-bearing wall that was always scheduled for removal? Every system that runs on specialized labor eventually replaces the labor and keeps the output. The researchers who built the guardrails become the old guard the system thanks on the way out.
